The Beef Tea schedule has been busy this summer with fine tuning some new originals, brushing the dust off some oldies but goodies, and playing out. We've been fortunate enough to play some fun recent shows to some awesome crowds, and it looks like more of the same for August.
Earlier this month, we had a crazy four show week with performances at Summerfest, Enderis Park in Milwaukee, the Frothy Forage at Riveredge Nature Center near Saukville (Beer+Food+Live music = great fun), and the Bastille Days festival, from which we have some new band photos - check 'em out on the photos page.
Some of you might be familiar with Great White, the Williamsons' huge van which we've occasionally used to travel to shows. We regret to inform you that GW died on the way to Bastille Days, but the good news is that it died only two blocks from the Bastille Whisky Stage. Eric, the engine guy of the band, poked around under the hood for a bit but his valiant efforts were for naught.
The folks at the nearby market let us borrow a couple of shopping carts to make hauling our instruments and equipment a bit easier - awesome! Of course, this was after Lucas dragged his bass drum to the stage, but at least Eric had a cart for his little fiddle. It was quite the adventure. Hopefully GW will be back in action soon. More on that later.
Until then, we have some fun shows coming up in August - and we hope to see you at one of them!
